Complex oxide materials represent an active frontier in condensed matter and materials physics with great potential to realize numerous innovative technologies for the next generation electronic applications. They offer the promise of functionalities that cannot be obtained in simpler materials. However, due to their structural and chemical complexity, these materials are challenging to make into high quality, especially in epitaxial films which are needed for potential applications utilizing their exciting properties.
