About Me

Carolyn Zhang is a first year undergraduate student at Ohio State University with the intended major of Pre-Nursing. She is interested in research and is a member of the Biological Sciences Scholars. She has had previous experience researching in the lab at Indiana University School of Medicine’s Department of Immunology and Microbiology. While there, she developed basic lab skills such and performed simple experiments in hopes of contributing to an antiviral discovery for the hepatitis B virus. While on campus, Carolyn hopes to continue researching in a lab, so she decided to choose to be a part of the Biological Sciences Scholars program. She believes that through this program, she will not only be able to find people with similar interests as herself, but she will also be provided with more research opportunities. She also enjoys being involved on campus through extracurriculars and exploring different cultures. Currently, she is involved with Asian American InterVarsity and Korean Student Association. Outside of the classroom, Carolyn enjoys painting, photography, and music.
