Module 4: Web-Enhanced Reading and Study Strategies

Dear students,

This week we learn ‘Web-Enhanced Reading and Study Strategies’. ‘Technology tools to boost your learning’ is the most useful thing I learned in this module because I know a lot of new websites or apps to improve my studying, like Study Blue, Duolingo, Quizlet. From now on, I will use these resources to prepare my final exams.

I have already put into ‘interact with your online readings’ to practice. Most classes need to read a lot of books, and I will highlight important information (like main ideas, keywords) or taking notes to memorize because I can easy to review important information next time.

I would put into ‘work on one assignment or activity at a time’ to practice in the future. I like to listen to music when I am studying sometimes, and it is not good because I cannot focus on my studying. From now on, I will turn off my cell phone or place my cell phone in another room. Moreover, I also will set time to study, like I will finish my econ homework within one hour.

I would give students some advice, based on what I have read or experienced during this module. Firstly, highlight important information when you read books or articles. It can help you to find important information easily next time. Moreover, you need to review important information in 1 day, 1 week, 1 month because it can help you to memorize well. Secondly, learn to use the resources to help your studying, like Quizlet, Google Calendar, Chegg.
