Project Statement
These photos are from a series of photography class project. I am fascinated by the lines, shapes and plane in the architecture building at Ohio State University. The play of light and shadow conveys the secrets of order in space, and the geometric rows and stacks tell the deep thoughts of the heart. From point to line, from line to surface, from disorder to order, we all live in the world of geometry, but we seldom take up the lens to record the meaningful geometric beauty in our lives. the beauty of geometry in life is everywhere: the clear lines between different color blocks. When I find various geometric shapes in life and make proper use of them in the composition, it has unexpected visual feelings.
Reflection
The use of geometry and lines is one of the photographic techniques. The simple lines of geometry itself, through the creator’s conception and arrangement of the image, each photo can express his or her state of mind, emotion or view of things at the moment. The various geometric patterns in life often bring people a unique visual sense, and if you choose a special shooting angle, you can present a stunning image. Learning to pay attention to the geometric designs in life will not only cultivate an eye for beauty, but also enhance the aesthetic ability of visual design.
