Before looking at the inside of a computer, it is important to know what all the different components are and what function they perform. Below is an infographic explaining all of these pieces.
Now that you know what goes into a computer, you may be asking yourself what it looks like when all of these parts are put together. Wonder no longer! Below is a picture guide to my own desktop computer.
This computer was constructed in the winter of 2014/2015. It’s parts are a little old by now, but it still works wonderfully and is a great tool to use for both schoolwork and free time. Perhaps my favorite part about this machine is the monitor that I use. Having 34 inches of screen real-estate allows me to have multiple windows open side by side and makes it easier to multitask. For productivity purposes, I highly recommend one large monitor or several smaller ones!
