Thank you for visiting my website! I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology at Ohio State University’ Lima campus. Please explore my website to learn more about my current teaching and my dissertation research.

My dissertation research focused on applied questions related to how plant defensive systems and mechanisms function and what implications these defenses have for survival and long-term selection. To do this, my research used a very integrative approach where I studied organisms at the molecular, physiological, individual, ecological, and evolutionary levels. I studied the interplay between herbicide resistance and fitness effects of agricultural weeds. My dissertation work focused primarily on glyphosate (commercially known as RoundUp) resistance in Conyza canadensis, also known as horseweed or marestail, and transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana.
