G.O.A.L.S.

One of my favorite things about the honors program is that the G.O.A.L.S. (Global Awareness, Original Inquiry, Academic Enrichment, Leadership Development, Service Engagement) is that these pillars of the honors program are well aligned with my own academic aspirations, experiences, and future plans.

  • Global Awareness: Global experience has already proven to be an important part of my career at OSU, including classes in both East Asian Art History and Spanish. In addition to this, I plan on getting a minor in West European Studies as well as studying abroad to further my experience and understanding of other cultures.
  • Original Inquiry: Before coming to OSU, I already obtained experience through multiple internship programs. While at OSU, I plan to continue working with my past connections as well as work at new companies in order to best prepare me for the business world beyond college.
  • Academic Enrichment: I personally love the challenge that honors and high level classes give me, and have made it a goal to take many of them each semester in order to continue to push myself in the classroom. Outside of class, school remains my top priority, so I strive to work hard to keep up with all my work in order to get ahead.
  • Leadership Development: While at OSU, I plan on getting practical leadership experience in both clubs and internships that I can utilize in my future career.
  • Service Engagement: Service is really important to me, and I plan on continuing to actively look to serve my community both through my church and through student organizations while at Ohio State.
