Some basic information about the online course.
In the reading E-Leanring Long (2004) mentions that E-learning is the form of utilizing internet to study. It has an enormous number of advantages, such as flexibility, cost savings and soon (Long, 2004). However, there are some problems inside E-learning, for example, E-learning is highly independent mode, someone need strong motivation to study and practice (Long, 2004).
I took fashion history course during summer vacation. However, during that time, I back to my home country, China. I found it is very hard for me to log in Carmen and opened the instruction video. Furthermore, because of the time lag, I always forgot the correct time to submit assignments in the beginning of the semester. In that case, I bought VPN, which helps me to increase my net speed, I was able to open the website and watch videos. I also wrote down a list for assignments. These all helped me to complete homework and learn through internet.
I really like to use Carmen, especially the app. The assignments clearly show on the “to do list” with the date and time. I also like using writing center, which always helps me to revise my papers.
I will ask teachers or other approaches for help as soon as possible if I need.
Moreover, I believe if I can try my best to complete all of the assignments, and read all materials, I can get a good score.
