My name is XieXiaoruo. It’s my pleasure to introduce myself.I come from Zhejiang China. My hometown is called Ruian.

It belongs to Wenzhou. Ruian is a small town and is near the ocean, so it enables me to have fresh seafood in my diet. I have a lovely family with four people. My sister is much smaller than me. She is only 8 years old now. There is a age gap between me and her. Sometimes we squabble with others over trivial matters and stand on different sides, but that doesn’t last too long.This is one part of our interaction. Different people have unique personalities.The more closer they are, the more difficult to live together. All the quarrels can only strengthen family bond. When I confront difficulties, I believe home is the only shelter. I have many hobbies. For instance, I love reading novels. Whatever the genre is, I can accept it except biography. Protagonist can do what we cannot do in the fictitious world. Different novel has its own world. When I read it, I can expand my horizon and cultivate creativity. I also enjoy listening to music. When I feel sorrow or nervous, I would like to listen to soft music. It can smooth my mind. Watching matches is another interest that I have, especially basketball matches.
Because I have lived in Ruian in the past 18 years, all the schools I went to were in this city. Recently, I graduated from Ruian high school.

Its international department is a partner with Wasatch Academic school. So I had a chance to experience American life for about 15 days in that school in the winter of my sophomore year.In there, I realized the difference between American and Chinese. As Chinese,I and my classmates had a duty to publicize the traditional Chinese culture to foreign students by showing PPT and playing games that have China factors with them. For example, our team was asked to publicize the development of Chinese language. As American, they are warm-hearted,so they invited us to ride horses and climb rocks.Those cultural connection is interesting, but it’s not the only one I have in my school life. In high school, we have many competitions. We needed to design our class clothes and class song. We tended to give our own opinions, because we want to have unique classroom style.On weekend, our teachers led us to enjoy BBQ. Our basketball team won the champion, we were proud of them.we also sneaked out of school gate for delicious local food.All the experiences I have are interesting. I hope I will have better life in OSU.

As I said in the first paragraph, I enjoy watches matches. As we all know, the Ohio State University is famous for sports. It is a member of Big Ten Conference. I think I can watch many matches here. Although I don’t comprehend all the rules, the atmosphere of matches always inspire me. Many audiences shout the slogan in the same time to encourage their supporting team. I can feel the solidarity among them. When I confront difficulties, I will remember them. Then I can have courage to deal with them.This is one part of reason I choose OSU.

What’s more, my major is engineering and I hope I can learn something useful in university. OSU has a excellent engineering college. So I choose OSU. In addition, many people from different nations come to here. This university must contain diverse culture. It can embrace all the difference between students and concentrate them into an indivisible whole. I plan to make friends here and understand multi-culture deeply. Firstly, I need to fulfill all the required classes and then use my spare time to join some clubs. Because people in those clubs may have the same hobbies like me, I can expand my friends circle. In those clubs, I also have many jobs to do. The competition is very fierce now, those working experience can help me a lot. On weekend, I will hang out with my friends. We can watch drama or buy clothes. This is a good way to relax.
