There are so many college students take online classes, and they have to do all of the studies online, such as reading the textbook or materials and watching the lecture videos. Therefore, it is necessary to develop online learning skills, which will help us study more efficiently for online classes.
The module four introduced some useful online reading skills that I have been using. I think the two most useful reading skills are that highlight the important information and summarize the key idea of the reading content. (Module 4, slide 6) Those two skills help me a lot for online reading. I usually used the iPad to read the e-book and highlight the important information by the blue highlighter. After I read all of the content, I always go back to read the blue parts again. Moreover, I usually summarize a key idea for the main concept and write it next to the title. It will help organize those new pieces of knowledge so that I can understand and remember them quickly.
I will try a new strategy that draws a symbol on the confusing information. It always took me too much time struggling with confusing information. I will draw a symbol on the confusing information and check it after I read all of the content. I think it will save more my time and help me understand the content better.
