Tips for Time Management (module 3)

There are 24 hours per days, but I always feel the time is not enough for me. I think I do not have enough sleep time and my sleep quality is really poor so that I feel really tired and lack of energy when I study or work. When I do my homework, I still feel that I do not have enough time to finish them so that the work’s quality is worse than my expectations. I have to make up my remained assignments every day, but those assignments are supposed to be finished in previous days or weeks. Therefore, I never finish my scheduled assignments per day on time. This is a vicious circle. I get overwhelmed and stressful very often.

The most useful content I learned from module 3 is that “Get more out of your 24.”(module 3, slide 11) There are so many people who take much more classes than me, and sleep less time than me. But they do not feel tired and overwhelmed. Because they make their every day, which are 24 hours organized and valuable. I started tracking my time one week ago that I made a spreadsheet about all of my activities so that I can analyze my time spending. I noticed that I wasted lots of time on checking the social media. Once I started to check it, it’s hard to stop. So, I changed my habit, I stopped check my phone during the study time, even on the rest time. It helps me same lots of time and work more efficiently. I also learned a new strategy that break down the large tasks into small sections to avoid the procrastination. I will try to use this strategy to improve my ability on time management in the future.
