Module 3: Efficiency in the Digital Age

One of the biggest problem that we see in college is procrastination. I face it, and almost all fifty-thousand students here do as well. With the amount of work load dumped upon us, it is very hard to not get sidetracked or as I will call it, “bored”. There is a simple solution to defeat this, but none of us will do it. It is turning off your electronics. We all decide that we need to “take an extra snap” or “send one last text”. This all leads to another one after that. We see this solution in the Harvard article. Although most of us cannot put this solution into effect, it is the number one way to conquer procrastination.

A different solution we see is time-tracking. With time tracking, you can simply plan out larger task over a longer period of time so each time you take on the work it will be in a shorter workload. Doing what we do now with the calendar is a simple solution, if you time out what you are going to do each day out of week it will provide a visual output of when you can do the work you need to do. These two strategies are here to help avoid procrastination in the digital age.
