Friends at the house I’m moving into for next year.

This past year has been incredible, and it is really weird to be saying that I am a week away from being halfway through college. Throughout this year, I have grown personally, professionally, socially and academically, and I am looking forward to continuing that growth through the summer and the next two years. This fall, I started a new job with The Ohio State football team as a member of the coaches’ video staff. In this role, I am responsible for the capturing of all game and practice film, as well as any technology support that may be needed. I’ve learned a lot about the operations of a Division 1 football program, and I have had many interactions with people I never thought I would be in the same building as. It has been an awesome learning experience, and I really enjoy my bosses and the other students I work with. I have been able to solidify my love for sports and the sport of football specifically, and I hope that this passion will be able to guide future career decisions. This past year, I was also able to take the trip of a lifetime during Spring Break. I went to Dublin, Ireland with a group of six friends, and we had an amazing time. We toured the Guinness factory, traveled to the Cliffs of Moher, toured an old revolutionary jail and just explored the city. It was my first time being out of the country, and although it was only a week, I couldn’t have asked for more. I was able to strengthen my friendships with the people with whom I traveled, and I was also able to enhance my global literacy. It was really cool to experience life in a foreign country essentially on my own, and I cannot wait for future adventures. Lastly, looking forward to this summer, I accepted an internship position with FC Cincinnati, an MLS club in Cincinnati. I will be in the role of a finance intern, and I’m super excited 1) to be living at home and 2) to be working in the sports world. I’m really looking forward to being a part of FCC’s MLS journey, as this is their first year in the league, and I can’t wait to learn as much as I possibly can and grow from this professional experience.
