Global Awareness Goals

  1. study abroad to learn more about the world
  2. complete classes that grow my knowledge about sustainability and how it affects different countries
  3. learn how to work with people of different cultures and background to advance environmentally friendly policies
  4. join clubs that make global engagement a priority

Original Inquiry Goals

  1. develop a research opportunity as an undergraduate
  2. continue a research opportunity in grad school
  3. find an internship at home that aides in sustainability

Academic Enrichment Goals

  1. graduate with honors in 4 years
  2. attend graduate school to better myself in my field
  3. take GE’s that aid my understanding of the world and are interesting to me

Leadership Development Goals

  1. become involved a club where I obtain a leadership position
  2. learn from leaders around me to help in me future career

Service Engagement Goals

  1. go on a service trip
  2. work on campus to continue environmentally-friendly practices
  3. find a volunteer organization at home that works with sustainability

  • Global Awareness: Students cultivate and develop their appreciation for diversity and each individual’s unique differences. For example, consider course work, study abroad, involvement in cultural organizations or activities, etc.
  • Original Inquiry: Honors & Scholars students understand the research process by engaging in experiences ranging from in-class scholarly endeavors to creative inquiry projects to independent experiences with top researchers across campus and in the global community. For example, consider research, creative productions or performances, advanced course work, etc.
  • Academic Enrichment: Honors & Scholars students pursue academic excellence through rigorous curricular experiences beyond the university norm both in and out of the classroom.
  • Leadership Development: Honors & Scholars students develop leadership skills that can be demonstrated in the classroom, in the community, in their co-curricular activities, and in their future roles in society.
