Welcome to the Wold Lab, where the capacity of the heart is our main focus, and “never skipping a beat” is our motto. Doctor Loren Wold, Ph.D., is the Director of Biomedical Research in the College of Nursing, as well as, a professor of Medicine and Nursing at THE Ohio State University. Research conducted by Dr. Wold and his team tackle three unique, yet related inquiries: the effects of Alzheimer’s disease on cardiac function, the cardiac implications of e-cigarette usage, and the cardiac effects of dust from the collapsed World Trade Center on first responders. Our lab works diligently to observe results on mice that will lead to ground-breaking discoveries in our day-to-day lives.

Please enjoy your time going through the various pages that encompass our findings labored within Dr. Wold’s lab, and his work outside of research.
