Artifacts

This artifact is a ticket of one of my first football games at The Ohio State University. My ticket in 34B was in the International Affairs Scholars section where i sat every Big 10 home game. The seat was not necessarily Block O South quality although it was a fairly good seat and I was able to see the game just fine.

The experience I gained from this artifact is how beneficial programs like Scholars are when it comes to assimilating into college life and making new friends. At these games I was able to make friends and form new bonds, as well as make the progression into becoming a Buckeye, because growing up I was not an Ohio State fan when it comes to college football. I was able to experience many highs and lows of the football season and I am looking forward to next year.

What I will learn from this in the future is that I am not alone in this new endeavor of college and that there is a great number of people around me in the same boat that I can relate to. I will continue to try and strengthen the friendships that I have made and hopefully form new ones that will last throughout college and beyond. I can also take away from this that being in the college football atmosphere at an Ohio State game is one of the most exhilarating feelings and it is good to know there are many more to come.
