Campus provides many opportunities for little adventures. One friend I’ve become very close to, like me, is a big supporter of personal well-being. We planned on going out to dinner and watch the Buckeyes play in the evening, so we wanted a fun, new way to burn extra calories in advance. So, we decided on going to the ARC in west campus to try out the indoor rock climbing. We had so much fun scaling walls and playing on really cool ab workout ropes that we were almost late for dinner. Luckily, to top off the wonderful day, we got seats in Buffalo Wild Wings just in time to watch our team beat Michigan State.

Go.

king makers

As for going new places, a couple weekends ago, a group of friends and myself decided it was time to experience the city. Thus, we hopped on a bus to the short north and visited a place recommended to a friend by their family member; it was a little place called Kingmakers. We walked in, put our name down for a table, and we were in awe by the adorable little place. It was a single room filled with couches and small tables, a little bar area that sold giant cups of hot tea, and there was an entire wall of board games available for use after a five dollar house fee. We ended up sitting around a table, playing games and laughing until close. We all left with stomachs sore from laughing so hard, and we plan on going back again before we all go home for winter break.

Eat

thaiGrowing up, I was very close to my parents, for they have always supported my decisions and aspirations. Thus, I was very excited when they told me they wanted to come up for a visit. Upon arrival, my dad wanted me to try one of his favorite local restaurants: Thai’s Asian Bistro. This was a brand new food ethnicity for me, but I was eager to try something new, so I went along with it, and though I could not pronounce what I ordered, it ended up being delicious. I would go back without hesitation.
