Online Pesticide and Fertilizer Recertification Available Until December 1

The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) has partnered with the Ohio State University Extension Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) to temporarily provide online recertification for pesticide applicators and fertilizer certificate holders whose licenses expired in spring of 2020. Applicators are required to complete their recertification requirements online by December 1.

Self-paced online recertification modules may be accessed at https://pested.osu.edu/OnlineRecert. Note, to access the online recertification, you will need to create a username and password. This process will require an e-mail address. Registration is only available online, phone registration is not available. Course fees are $35 for Private Pesticide Applicators; $15 per credit hour for Commercial Applicators; and $10 for Fertilizer Certificate Holders. This course will show on your credit card statement as “OSU CFAES ONLIN OUTREACH.”

If you are unable to access the online recertification, please contact ANR Educator Steph Karhoff at 419-636-5608 to set up alternative arrangements. If you do not know if you need credits, you can check your recertification status at https://agri.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/oda/divisions/plant-health/pesticides/recert-search/. Note, you will need your applicator ID number to check your recertification status. This may be found on your wallet-sized applicator license. If you have any questions or need assistance, please call 419-636-5608.
