Welcome to the Williams County ANR Blog
My name is Stephanie Karhoff, and I am the Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Educator for Williams County. Prior to this role, I completed my PhD at The Ohio State University, focusing on disease resistance in soybean. My background is primarily in agronomy, pest management, and field research. My husband and I grew up in Putnam County, where both our families grow corn, wheat, and soybean. This blog features recent articles about agronomy, livestock production, home gardening, farm management, and current topics affecting Williams County and the surrounding area.
Welcome to Williams County – kind of impressed with your communications to date. This county needs a representative person in agriculture! being a retired ag agent from Ohio State a few years ago I can appreciate your duties and challenges. After Ohio State was a segment of years as Extension Director in Iowa. An interesting experience too! Matter of fact you have on board a person that was in Iowa when I was out there.
Anyway, have a great experience in Williams County. Your background leads to a great adventure.
