From the activity of “ True Colors Indicator” I was able to discover that I am an individual who strongly favors excitement and living life to its full potential with a mix of compassion and opening up my variety of learning. Within a group of fellow scholars or a team I can share this type of personality to provide the group with positive energy and true passion, in the time of hard work there has to be something or someone who can motivate the group to put forth their best effort and stay interested to the task. Also, I will be able to provide a sense of compassion and being open to communicate with others to where everyone has a sense of being involved and their voice is being heard and that it will create a positive aura within the group. In the matter of “True Colors” I feel that everyone has their own way of presenting a characteristic within each category but the personality of an individual will basically make one distinct aspect shine towards the group and the project itself.
Leadership
- An example where I have witnessed leadership in the context of sport and wellness is when I was a freshman in high school looking forward to join the football team of the high school that I was enrolled in to. As a freshmen, I would observe how the seniors were always committed to their craft in practice and in the game, and would always encourage everyone on the team to go beyond what is expected, work hard in the classroom and on the field, and even shared the value of family on the team.
- Also, I can recall the days where at times I would be scared to ask for reps in a play or a chance to step on the field during a varsity game, but the seniors would come up to me and motivate me to try. Even if I did mess up on a play, or through off the flow of practice, they were able to boost my confidence and made me feel like I was an important piece to the team.

About Me
My name is KaVeon( KV for short ) Williams and I will be going into my first year at The Ohio State University starting this fall. I will be majoring in sports industry and still under the decision process of what track I look forward into taking either sports medicine, law, or business. I have the set goal in my life to place myself in a position to work for a professional football team in the NFL and work my way up through the levels and become the General Manager of the organization. I will have to say that the love of the game has motivated me to make this decision for a career option since, when I am on the field, court, or anywhere relating to athletics I can just feel my heartbeat in the competition and passion. Especially the game of football, the adrenaline, the passion, and the grit that comes into every game has come become a second part of me and it is even more exciting to watch the pros, and fun fact one of the reasons I was motivated to come to the Ohio State University was just after watching an OSU football game where I can just feel the energy from the stadium through the television. I played varsity football in all four years of my high school career and was pretty much an all-around athlete switching from position to position at ease. I also wrestled and competed in discus throw and shot put plus the 400m in track and field. I would say that I am a gym/anime junkie so you will either catch me with a smile during a workout or watching some anime during my past time. I would love to participate in any flag football tournament as well. Since I was born on November 25th. which makes me a Sagittarius I would say that I carry the traits of being adventurous and having an open-mind to the world. I have also lived in California close to 8-9 years of my life and I would say that my hobbies are exercising, listening to music ( J.cole, XXXtentacion, Daniel Caesar, Sonder, and many more ), watching anime or horror movies, and just socializing with friends. I would love to be involved in the study broad program and travel to places like Tokyo, Rome, Morocco, or maybe even Rio. I live close to an hour away from Columbus in the inner city of Dayton where I graduated from Thurgood Marshall Stem High School as the Valedictorian and president of the school district’s student senate. I have the set goal to find a way to give back to my community, to my family, and just bring back the love for the game, and maybe even help the Cleveland Browns actually win a regular season game. Overall, I can’t wait to see what Ohio State has to offer for me, I can’t wait to meet new friends and build meaningful connections, and I will have to say that I am an open book so pretty much anything will sound like a good time to me.
