Chocolate comes in over 1000’s forms. Annually more than 3 million tons of cocoa beans is consumed annually! Switzerland consumes the most chocolate in the world and Germany close behind. Many people have done research on chocolate and have found many benefits to your health.

  • The American Heart Association stated in 2003, that in taking about six grams of dark chocolate a day for about four and a half months can lower blood pressure. This lowering of the blood pressure can then reduce a person’s risk of stroke and even possibly death.
  • In chocolate there is a chemical group known as flavanols. Flavanols have been proven to help increase and improve circulation in the body as well as improve the cardiovascular health of a person.
  • Two specific types of chocolate, white and milk, contain vitamins A and B12, which help with the growth of bones and teeth.
  • Dark chocolate and cocoa in general help release energy thanks to the complex B vitamins.
