About Me

Hi! My name is Alexis Westrick and I am an honors student majoring in Health Sciences with a minor in Biology at the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at The Ohio State University. I thoroughly enjoy studying sciences such as Chemistry and Biology. As a first year in the honors program at Ohio State, I have plans to be a part in the research on campus involving the Chemistry or Biology fields and writing my research thesis at the end of my four years. I would specifically like to work in the field of genetics and eventually conduct my own research. At Ohio State, I am a member of the Future Health Professionals Learning Community and I plan on taking part in Buckeyethon this coming spring.  My current plan after undergraduate school is to go to Medical School or get my masters in genetic counseling to become a Genetic Counselor. I personally consider myself a very academically driven person with compassion for others so I strongly believe that any professional field I enter, I will excel to my greatest capability by applying myself and using the available resources around me.
