Becca Weiss is an Eminence Fellow and fourth-year honors engineering student from Stow, Ohio. She plans to graduate in the University Honors Program from The Ohio State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Biomechanics, and a minor in Humanitarian Engineering. With this, she is interested in pursuing a career in medical devices or research & development. Becca likes to stay active in the social justice community by her interest in issues such as human trafficking and socioeconomic equality. This passion began with her involvement with organizations including Unified for Uganda, Project HOPE, and the InterReligious Task Force on Central America. Becca is one of the founding members and previous co-presidents of an organization called Enlighten, that combats human trafficking and supports survivors by raising awareness, outreach, and advocacy. In addition to her academic and social interests, Becca likes staying active outdoors through hiking and kayaking, exploring art museums, and enjoying live music.
