Global Information Infrastructure GII Health Award
(Semi-Finalist – 1998)

The GII Awards, a non-partisan and independent initiative, recognizes champions from all industries and sectors of society who use the Internet and network technology to produce impacts on society. The year of this award there were over 800 entries, with 31 semi-finalists advancing in 11 categories. This was awarded for contributions made in the ARPA-NASA project to perform medical visualization using the NASA ACTS satellite. (see more on Wayne’s research page.)
