Apple Distinguished Educator – Class of 2005
The Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) program is a competitive program that honors “a select group of exceptional educators who promote excellence in education through the use of technology. Each award winner is recognized as an outstanding pioneer in his or her field. This group of educators (approximately 60 are selected each year) spans the globe from the U.S. to Australia.” An ADE is expected to embrace the the following responsibilities that have already identified them as leaders:

Advocate the use of emerging technology in teaching and learning

Provide assistance and best practices for other educators and policymakers

Advise on the realities of integrating instructional technologies

Publish authentic work that showcases technology for the advancement of education
