Performance Tests
The following picture shows what type of track the AEV will run on for all three performance tests.
Performance Test 1:
For the first performance test, the AEV need to start at the loading dock on the left hand side. The AEV then needs to go around 16 feet and stop right before the gate. The AEV needs to wait for 7 seconds, and then the gate will open. The AEV must then go on.
- Group J had completed performance test 1 successfully on March 23.
Performance Test 2:
The second performance test includes everything from performance test 1, but the AEV must now continue after the gate and attach to the caboose on the right hand side loading dock. But, the AEV must not leave the loading dock without coming to a complete stop first.
- Group J had competed performance test 2 successfully on April 3.
Final Performance Test:
The final performance test includes everything from performance test 2, but the AEV must now go back to the gate with the caboose, stop at the gate, wait for 7 seconds, and then continue all the way to the left hand side loading dock, and come to a complete stop.
- Group J had completed the final performance test successfully on April 10.
- The final cost of the AEV run was $578,376.75
