This is an educational video on the Stars and Solar System.

Notes :

Celestial bodies – objects in the sky like the sun, moon and stars.

the celestial bodies are a part of the galaxy. The universe that we inhibit has countless galaxies

a galaxy – sprawling space systems composed of dust, gas and countless stars.

a star – huge ball of glowing gas. they are formed from the clouds of gas and dust in space known as nebula and the have their own heat and light.

the sun – it is the center of our solar system. It is a spinning ball of very hot gas that is fueled by nuclear fusion reaction. It is estimated that it has een buring for more than 4.5 bullion years

solar system – 4 planets that have few or no moon, known as lesser planets. 4 outer planets that have rings and many moons.

Asteroid belt – inner plants and outer plants seperated by asteroid belt.

Facts :

the Earth is the more dense planet

Venus is the brightest planet and can be seen with the naked eye

Jupiter is the largest and mercury is the smallest

Earth takes 365 days and 6 hours to complete its revolution.

all planets rotate east to west

Meteors – caused by the entry of smalle pieces of rock or dust from space into atmospehere at extremely high speeds.

Comets – as comets heat up, gas and dust are expelled and leave trail behind.
