Blog Post 2

Welcome Back! My second blog is going to be about focusing on YOU! It is so so important to know your yourself. Specifically, to know your strengths, weaknesses, goals, and studying habits. When preparing for college, one of your main goals should be to diversify your learning preferences, skills, and strategies ( pg. 4.). Even though you are going to school to major in something that you are passionate about, it is so important to get the most of out every class you take. The in class lectures, readings, projects, and podcast lectures can teach you valuable lessons that you will most likely use in the future. Take time out of your day to review and reflect each lesson or new material you learn that day. It will help not only retain information, but you will be more prepared when studying for exams. If you find yourself confused on material, it is so important to ask the professor before they build on the material and you spiral into more confusion! Writing down your notes from lectures and readings will help you stay organized with the material you learn. It is proven that writing things down helps your mind retain that information! Also, it will help you keep tract of potential syllabus changes or information about an upcoming exam!

  2. Claire,

While most teachers provide their notes, I always write them out as well because I know that helps you retain the information better. I love how you started the post by saying it is so important to know yourself, because it is.
