4-H Food Clinic Report

Last week the Home Economics Committee hosted Fun Food Adventures and had 11 participants. The morning was filled with cooking how-tos and they made some delicious snacks. The clinic was taught by Darlene Burke-Ogletree, Joyce Kronberg, Amanda Bohlen, Sarah Layton, and Alexus Masterson. The participants made pumpkin muffins and fruit faces, while learning about handwashing, measuring, mixing, baking, and cutting.

4-H Outdoor Clinic Report

We had 9 youth participate in our 4-H Outdoor Clinic held recently at the Barlow Fairgrounds. Extension teamed up with Soil and Water Conservation staff Hannah Swope and Alexis Lane to offer this super educational and fun clinic.

Free Advanced Training for Teen Drivers this Summer

The Ohio Traffic Safety Office is hosting free Advanced Driver Training for teens in the state of Ohio.  These events are apart of the “100 Deadliest Days” Campaign.  There are 3 classes to choose from across the state including DriveTeam, Professional Driving Systems, and Ford Driving Skills for Life.  These events are free for new teen drivers and registration is required.  Please see the flyer below for more information on times and dates for the events.

4-H Cake Decorating Clinic Report

12 Beginner and 1 Intermediate members attended the recent cake decorating clinic taught by Sloane Matics. Everyone learn some awesome new skills and checked off several skills in their project books! Thanks Sloane for teaching and McKensie Mason for assisting!

4-H Offering Summer Clinics

Washington County 4-H is offering a variety of project clinics for local interested youth. The clinics are open to all youth, regardless if  enrolled in 4-H or taking the 4-H project. Clinics are for youth ages 8 and up.

The 4-H Home Economics Committee is planning a fun-filled morning of cooking how-tos and learn to make some delicious snacks. This class will focus on skills related to the 4-H Food Projects and get you started on your project work.
