Endowment Dinner Needs to Volunteers and Donations

The Washington County 4-H Endowment Dinner and Auction is quickly approaching on April 13, 2024 at the Washington County Fair- Junior Fair Building.  The committee is looking for volunteers to help with set up on Friday evening, and during the event on Saturday.  Please visit the link to sign up to help volunteer.  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A094EADA72CA1FD0-4hendowment#/

The Endowment Committee is also still accepting donations for our live and silent auctions during the event.  We would like to thank our generous supporters who have donated to the event this year.  We are also looking for donations for our Grab bags that evening.  Grab bag items can be for adult, teens, and youth.  Items may be dropped off at our office located 1115 Gilman Ave Marietta.  If you have a larger item please call our office upon arrival as our elevator is out of order.

Lastly, we still have tickets available and they may be purchased online from eventbrite (using QR code below) or at our office between the hours of 8am and 4pm.  You may also reach out to a committee member for tickets as well.  We are excited for our largest fundraiser of the year and look forward to a successful event.  Please call our office for more details at 740-376-7431

 

4-H Endowment Dinner Ticket Info

The 2024 Washington County 4-H Endowment Dinner and Auction will be held on Saturday, April 13 at the Washington County Jr. Fair Building. Tickets are $30 and must be purchased in advance.

To purchase tickets, go to: https://go.osu.edu/2024EndowmentDinnerTickets, contact a committee member listed on the flyer, or call the OSU Extension Office at 740-376-7431. All tickets will be distributed at the door the night of the event. Also, a table of 8 can be reserved for $300 by filling out this form (https://bit.ly/20244hendowmentdinnertablereservation) and submitting it to the Extension Office by Friday, March 29.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for the Silent Auction. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with the Live Auction starting at 7:30 p.m. Dinner includes a choice of grilled NY strip steak or grilled chicken breast with apple sauce, baked potato, coleslaw, green beans, roll, dessert, and beverages.

Washington County 4-H Endowment Dinner a Success

The Washington County 4-H Endowment Dinner was held on April 1, 2023 at the Washington County Fair Grounds.  This year’s dinner featured a steak or chicken dinner along with Live and Silent auctions and a Grab bag station.  The Endowment committee along with 4-H volunteers served over 390 meals and raised over $30,000 to support the 4-H program in the county.  The funds raised will be used to help with camp and trip scholarships, as well as other 4-H events held throughout the year that reaches the youth of Washington County.  The committee is excited with the event and reached their goals for the dinner this year.  A special thanks goes out to all the businesses, families, 4-H Clubs and individuals who supported the event this year.  The committee is already planning for 2024.  If you would like to help and join the committee to plan the event in 2024 please call the Extension Office at 740-376-7431.

4-H Endowment Committee Searching for Committee Members

The Washington County 4-H Endowment Committee is searching for new members to join the team!  The committee would like to extend an invitation to teens and adults who are energetic, dedicated, and share a passion for planning events.  The Endowment Dinner and Auction is scheduled for April 1, 2023.  The committee meets monthly from November to April to organize and plan this event each year.  The dinner and auction is one of the biggest fundraisers the 4-H committee hosts and funds raised help to send local youth to camps, trips and provides scholarships for Washington County 4-H Youth.  Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Washington County Extension Office located at 1115 Gilman Ave Marietta.  Please call our office at 740-376-7431 for more details or reach out to an Endowment Committee Member.

Mail Stuffing Party – Volunteers Needed

Help is needed on Tuesday, December 20 at the OSU Extension Office starting at 10:00 am to stuff the 4-H Endowment mailing. If you are available and interested in volunteering a couple of hours, please come to 1115 Gilman ave, Marietta. The Extension Office is located on the 2nd Floor.

4-H Endowment Dinner Thank You

Thank you to everyone that supported the recent 4-H Endowment Dinner with your donations, buying auction items, attending the dinner, or working at the event. The event was a huge success serving 412 dinners!!!!

The event cleared over $31,000 and will be divided between the Marietta Community Foundation Fund, 4-H Endowment Fund at OSU, and funds for the 2022 Camp Director position. The 4-H Endowment Fundraising committee is also discussing potential improvement projects for the Jr Fair Building.

It’s Time to Enroll for 2022

Returning Members:

Visit https://oh.4honline.com/  

  • Use the family email you created last year.
  • Contact the OSU County Extension office at 740-376-7431 if you don’t have your family email address.
  • For your password, use the password you created in the past, if you forgot your password select the “Reset Password?” option. Then check your email for a password reset link.
  • Do not set up a new profile. You must log into last year’s profile.
  • To re-enroll a member from a previous year, click “Enroll Now” next to the profile of the appropriate member.
  • Please be sure to enroll for all your clubs and projects at the same time.  If you are a member enrolled in multiple clubs for instance ABC Explorers 4-H Club and XYZ FFA Chapter , then be sure to add projects to each club and chapter.  If you do not enroll for all clubs and projects before you submit then you will not be able to add them yourself and will need to contact the Extension Office to add the projects or clubs after you submitted your enrollment.
