The Ohio State Fair recently announced that Melina Matics of Marietta and Josie Burke of Waterford will be joining the 2022 Ohio State Fair Junior Fair Board. The 17-member board is composed of youth ages 16-19 from 4-H, FFA, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Farm Bureau, Grange and Tech Ed. Washington County will have two representatives serving on the 2022 board, Melina Matics representing Ohio 4-H and Josie Burke representing Ohio FFA. Ohio State Fair General Manager Virgil Strickler said, “The Ohio State Fair Junior Fair Board members are honored for their previous accomplishments and demonstration of leadership skills by being selected to serve on the Junior Fair Board. Through this experience, they will expand their leadership development and give back to the state of Ohio.”
