I wanted to share an update on my efforts thus far in my efforts to raise funds for Kentucky tornado survivors. On Feb.26th, my 4-H club, Churchtown Busy Bunch, joined my cause and served desserts at the Beverly Legion steak fry netting $364.20. During FFA week in Feb., the Fort Frye FFA Chapter held a kiss the calf competition netting over $500 to be sent to a FFA Chapter in Kentucky that had members affected by this tornado. I personally doing a quilt to raise funds. I have presented at a Lion’s Club meeting and am scheduled to present at another, generating donations from donations as well. I continue to be in contact with a 4-H Extension Agent assessing needs of specific 4-H’ers affected. As soon as I get exact details on how to get our money to the specific 4-H’ers affected, I will pass that information along. So again, I am challenging each Washington County 4-H club to join my efforts. Any effort, no matter the size, is genuinely appreciated.
