The sun has often been a symbol of hope, of something so impossibly bright that it cannot be touched. I saw this scene as I was taking a walk, having to clear my mind of some difficult matters. It was positively radiant, and everything was bright as soon as the clouds parted. However, this served and still serves as a reminder that there is still something bright out there, out of reach. We can inch closer and closer but cannot ever fully grasp. There’s something about the human experience that drives us to burn brighter and do better. I have a particular interest in cellular and tissue rejuvenation, something that seems as though is a direction towards immortality itself. I want to reach towards discovering the secrets of life and investigating what we can do with current biotech.
