Helpful Learning Technologies

For Time Management:

Trello:https://trello.com

Trello is a great website to use to organize various projects or things to do each week, month, or semester! It allows you to create different boards and organize boards however works best for you.  It offers a variety of different templates, colors, etc. to help you stay organized. Trello is a great tool for staying on top of your work, with both short term and long term assignments. Additionally, it can be used for group projects to keep the group organized and divide tasks. A downside that I have found with Trello is that it easy to forget to go on to the website and mark off completed tasks and look at what you have coming up. Apps, reminders, and calendar alerts are better for reminding you to complete a task at a specific time. However, overall, Trello is a very useful website to divide out tasks and help with time management. Below is an example of how to organize your tasks and color code to set each type of task apart!

Study Scheduler App: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/study-scheduler/id1473217961

Study Scheduler is a useful app to exercise planning strategies and stay on top of your tasks to help you reach your goals. This app was developed by a research team at Learning Technologies Program at The Ohio State University. The app is designed as a coursework planner and reminder for college students. It is very helpful if you know what specific tasks need to be done at what time because it gives you a reminder and has you answer questions related to what you are doing, where you are doing it, and how you are feeling. However, if you do not know what time you need to complete the task, this app may be too specific because it has you fill out the time and location. It can be a little time consuming to answer the questions if you are focused on your task. Overall, Study Scheduler is very helpful to stay on top of your work and manage your time throughout the week. I would recommend Study Scheduler for more specific, weekly tasks.

For Digital Note-taking:

One Note: https://www.onenote.com/

OneNote is a digital notebook for your to-do lists, lecture and meeting notes, vacation plans, or anything you want to organize or remember. It allows you to keep all of your notes in one place. All you have to do is type or jot down notes, record audio or snap a picture and OneNote saves it. Your notes sync across your devices so you can access them wherever you go.  Another great benefit of OneNote is that you can easily share your notes with others. There are many advantages to using OneNote, but it does not set reminders, and syncing is sometimes slow between devices. It is simple and easy to use and a great way to keep all of your notes or creative ideas organized in one place! Below is an example of how you can stay organized in OneNote by creating different folders and color-coding.
