Year in Review

Overall, my first semester at OSU was a very successful one. I not only have performed well academically, but I have also gotten involved on campus and grown socially. In the classroom, I have adapted well to the collegiate style of learning and had great success on exams in all of my courses. I have found spots that I enjoy studying and I never have a problem getting overwhelmed by an increased workload. As far as getting involved on campus, I have joined and been an active member in Operation Smile Club on campus. This organization raises money for cleft lip and cleft pallet surgeries for children in third world countries and I have enjoyed volunteering for the club. I have also taken steps towards gaining membership in Nu Rho Psi, a neuroscience honorary on campus. This honorary is available to second year students who attended the events that the honorary sponsors, and I have attended several of these events. Lastly, I have grown socially. I have formed good relationships with my roommates, other students on my floor, and classmates. I feel that overall, my first year in college has had a successful start.
