Mike Vuolo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at The Ohio State University. I hold the following degrees from the University of Minnesota: a PhD in sociology (2009), an MS in statistics (2007), and an MS in Mathematics (2011). My research and teaching interests include crime, law, and deviance; health; sociology of work and education; substance use; the life course; and statistics and methodology. Together with David Melamed, I am the incoming co-editor of Sociological Methodology, the American Sociological Association’s official methods journal. I have been both Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on grants funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) and am currently on a Fulbright Grant.
