Preliminary Results

Here is an 2015 AERA proposal that summarizes some of the results of the study.

We received 853 responses to the survey including at least one response from every state. The following map represents the distribution of responses across the continental US. Not pictured is a single response from Alaska and one from Hawaii.

Participants were divided across the following content areas:

  • Science Education: 270 (31.7 %)
  • Mathematics Education:309 (36.2%)
  • English / Language Arts: 244 (28.6)
  • Technology Integration: 225 (26.4%)

In response to: Do you know about how many teachers your institution  graduated in the 2012-2013 academic year? (n=793)

Of those who knew the number of teachers graduated, they estimated 70, 410 teachers graduated from their institutions in 2011-2012.
