Scan

This is a scan of a leaf that I had found. It caught my attention while outside due to its vibrant colors. When I found it, it was around 7 o’clock in the afternoon, but the scan didn’t take place until three days later so the leaf had shriveled up. This proved problematic. I managed to flatten the leaf out but had to hold it. This lead to the movement of the leaf as I scanned it. The movement took away the smooth sides of the leaf and made it seem jagged. With some more altercations I took away some of the reflective light coming from the tin foil background. I also lightened the center stem so it was clearly visible and made the edges a little sharper. I like this image because you can still tell its a leaf just deformed in a kind of cool way.
