Perspective: Process

Research

To start off this project, I brainstormed different design elements, furniture, and looks of what I wanted my dream office to look like and include. I also explored different dimensions that my composition could be.

I tested/practiced different shapes in one point perspective to get a better idea of what different elements in my office would look like and how to draw in this perspective.

Exercises

Exercise one:

Start by repeatedly drawing the contour of several different objects. Try to limit to 3 objects, and work at scale around 6 inches (high or wide. Select one object, and find a clear contour drawing from the repetitions. Cut out the contour from the paper, and save the empty space of the contour to use like a stencil. On a new sheet of drawing paper, draw the contour of the single object on the paper using the stencil. On another new sheet of drawing paper, repeatedly trace the stencil contour in layers to create a new composition. Do what you find interesting, there are no requirements to this new composition except a repeated contour.Use pen to develop line weight variety in each drawing. Again, play and experiment here.

Iterations

I tested some layouts and what I could include in the room.
