Nuclear Fusion PowerPoint

The PowerPoint above was created to present to GES what nuclear fusion is and why it is important for future generations to pursue. The technology has been developing over the course of nearly 80 years. However, with recent breakthroughs in superconductors and plasma control, the fusion technology that has been a thing of questionable possibility is becoming more and more realistic. Fusion has been achieved with many different elements, but has not been able to create a positive net energy. The goal is to fuse different variations of hydrogen into helium. ITER is currently being built to fuse these elements and is expected to be able to create more energy than is required to start it. It is an every growing field and will forever be prevalent in all energy applications. From being the powerhouse of stars, it is the largest power source in the universe.
