OSU’s 914 KIA – Remembering their Names
a Veterans ERG Event
Thursday, May 26, 2022 – 12:00 pm – UH Main Entrance Plaza
Dear Veterans ERG Members,
Our first-ever OSU Veterans ERG Memorial Day Commemoration will be Thursday, May 26, at Noon in the plaza in front of the UH Main Entrance. See attached for program details.
Please plan to attend!
Please consider if you will be able to help us organize the following roles – reply to paul.dumouchelle@osumc.edu if so:
- Frontline Greeters – people who can help answer questions and direct people during the event.
- 914 Team – We are hoping to have at least three people who can help read this list of names. Details and approach will be organized by the team itself with Paul Dumouchelle coordinating.
- General Volunteers – This is a first-ever event so we may need folks to assist with unforeseen circumstances.
- Musical Selections – Besides the National Anthem and the official songs of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force & Coast Guard, we could use selections for a musical playlist that will be used during the event. Please send your suggestions to Takesha.Tibbs@osumc.edu
Looking forward to hearing from you if you can volunteer, and/or seeing you if you can attend.
Veterans Gathering for Uplifting Spirits” (VERG GUS)
On Friday, March 18, 11 of us gathered at the Olentangy River Road location of Rooster’s restaurant for the first-ever Gathering to Uplift Spirits (GUS1 being our acronym for this type of social/networking event). Based purely on the amount of laughter and camaraderie it generated it was a big success! Special thanks to our Senior Leader Sponsor Dr. Tim Sarac for buying the first round of drinks! The ERG picked up the tab for food. Our Co-Chair Jowanda Ayoub described her upcoming deployment to Korea with the US Air Force in April and May – we agreed to plan GUS2 for her return!
