Small Donation Big Impact! Donation Drive 2022 FINAL TOTALS

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

You all are AMAZING!! STUPENDOUS!! And BEYOND GENEROUS!! The love, support, and generosity you Buckeyes have shown to our community’s veterans and their families is inspiring and jaw-dropping! YOU make a difference!

This past spring, Ashley Tainer-Harp proposed to the Veterans ERG an idea for a monthly collection drive of items to support the Military Veterans Resource Center (MVRC) and our local veterans’ and their families. A goal was set for a total of 7,500 items. In seven short months, YOU far superseded our expectations!

YOU brought us deodorants, body care, feminine hygiene; cleaning supplies / disinfectants for the shelter; vitamins; mouth care; coats; hats, gloves, scarves; non-perishable foods; and pairs of socks!

Congratulations on a job well done!

The Grand Totals for the 2022 collection drive are:

  • 11,492 items
  • 1,950 pounds of food
  • $45,078.94 value dollars

The future is bright because of YOU! 2023 is at hand and we are working on new ideas and new calls for help.

If you are interested in volunteering or being involved in the next drives, please contact our drive lead, Ashley Tainer-harp, ashley.tainer-harp@osumc.edu.

If you are a Veteran or National Guard/Reserve member of the United States military, or somebody who supports Veterans regardless of military status, please consider joining the Veterans Employee Resource Group (ERG). Contact Paul Dumouchelle, paul.dumouchelle@osumc.edu to become a member.

2022 Memorial Day Commemoration – UPDATE

While the inclimate weather and some volunteer emergencies cancelled our Memorial Day Celebration, one thing that will never be dissuaded is our gratitude and thankfulness resounding in our hearts for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our Freedom.

This day could not end without us finding some way to list the names of our Ohio State members who have been Killed In Action who we were set to honor today.  Within this PowerPoint, OSU KIA Reading List of 2022, you will find the  names of our 306 valiant members.

With endless gratitude for our lost,
