G.O.A.L.S. Part 3

My group went to the restaurant D.P. Dough for our Columbus excursion. Our initial plan was to go out to the restaurant Condado, but the wait for a table was extremely long. We made a quick decision to dine at D.P. Dough instead. This was a restaurant that specializes in calzones. I ordered a chicken parmesan calzone. The building was fairly small, but not crowded so we were able to find seating. I was able to learn that there are a ton of dining options in the Short North if the one you are planning to go to is too busy. I would definitely recommend this to a friend because it was a cheap price for very good food.

G.O.A.L.S. Part 2

The next location I went to in Columbus was COSI. This was a very large science center located in Columbus. There were a ton of displays located all through the building. My favorite exhibit was a giant unicycle that stayed upright because of gravity. One of the things I learned was to pay attention to deals around your area. This was the night that COSI was open to all OSU students for free so it was nice to take advantage of that. I would recommend this this place to a friend, but warn them that it is generally geared more toward children.

The final location I went to was Simply Rolled Ice Cream, located near the Short North. They made ice cream a unique way here by freezing it on a cold metal surface and then rolling it into small cylinders. It was neat because the ice cream was prepared in front of you. I ordered a caramel pretzel flavor ice cream. I personally think there are much better choices for ice cream because their portions are smaller for such an expensive price. It also wasn’t ideal because of the line we waited in. Other than that it was an enjoyable experience. My favorite place to go this semester was Ted’s Bison Burgers. It was one of the best meals I have had while at Columbus. I learned that Columbus has a ton of things to offer. I also learned that it is very easy to reach Columbus with the access to buses we have as students. I have not been inspired to visit a specific part of Columbus, but I would like to visit the main part of the city. I would recommend that anyone else who is planning on completing a Columbus to do list to plan ahead. It will make the experience easier.

G.O.A.L.S.

I have decided to try and experiment different lists, throughout the semester to try and experience different features Columbus has to offer. I am most looking forward to trying to go to a Blue Jackets game when they play the Penguins. Since I am from Pittsburgh, it will be fun to see my home team play here. I hope to see what Columbus has to offer for me since it is so close to the university. The first place I went to in Columbus was Ted’s Bison Burgers on October 6th. I got to try bison meat for the first time, and it was very delicious. I went with a couple other people on my floor who are in HES. It was really fun to bond with them over a nice meal. I would definitely recommend it to friend, if you are willing to dig a little deep into your wallet.

Artifacts

Artifact #1

The first artifact would be a hammer. It represents the mission trips that I went on in high school. These mission trips really helped mold me into the person I am. They helped show me what you can really do to help people.

Artifact #2

The second artifact is my bed. I see my bed as my sanctuary. It is the place where I end and start every day. It is always something I am working towards because once I finish all my work I can finally go to bed.
