- Global Awareness: As an immigrant, global awareness is very important to me. My appreciation for my culture and others’ cultures is deeply rooted in my curiosity for the way different cultures engage in society. I try to surround myself with as much diversity as possible, through my friends and my every day activities. Diversity is an important part in my life, and I hope to promote diversity through my tenure at OSU.
- Original Inquiry: I have considered doing research in a lab with one of the professors of Microbiology at OSU. I am looking forward to my research opportunity in summer of 2019.
- Academic Enrichment: As a Neuroscience major, I take a lot of challenging courses. As a STEM major, my classes take a lot of academic rigor and hard work.
- Leadership Development: I am a part of College Democrats here at OSU, and I am hoping during my second year I will have an elected position on the Executive Board.
- Service Engagement: I am an active volunteer at Peter Maurin Center, a homeless shelter in my hometown of Akron, OH. I volunteer there every Sunday and it is one of my favorite parts of the week. I look forward to finding a similar shelter in Columbus so I can continue with my service engagement.
