ECE 5023 – Introduction to Data Converters and Phase-Locked Loops Fall 2019/Fall 2020/Fall 2021/Fall 2022
This course focuses on fundamentals of data converters and timing circuits, including discrete-time analog/mixed signal analysis and signal conditioning for asynchronous and synchronous computing. The topics include analog switches, sampling circuits, switched-capacitor amplifiers and filters, Flash ADCs, SAR ADCs, DACs, PLLs, DLLs and discrete-time neural networks.

ECE 7020 – Advanced Data Converters and Phase-Locked Loops – Spring 2018/Spring 2019/Spring 2021
A comprehensive overview of the most recent system architectures of data converters and phase-locked loops. Provides a good understanding how performance specifications and process technology limitations lead to implementation decisions. The presented principles are illustrated by examples and real life case studies.

ECE 7027 – Advanced Topics in Analog VLSI Design – Spring 2017/Fall 2018
Advanced topics in analog VLSI design, such as integrated data converters, or power management integrated circuits, or high-performance analog circuits. This includes: system and circuit architectures, performance metrics, practical implementations, design considerations in advanced semiconductor processes, chip design projects, and lab characterization.
