G.O.A.L.S.

  • Global Awareness: In order to fulfill this goal I plan on taking classes that allow me to learn more about different countries’ cultures and languages. Also, I would like to travel abroad and take classes in a different country to achieve a better appreciation for that country’s culture.

  • Original Inquiry: To reach the goal of original inquiry I am planning on becoming engaged in a research project in the science field. I am also planning on taking advanced coursework focused on Molecular Genetics.

  • Academic Enrichment: I am planning on meeting the goal of academic enrichment by taking high level GE classes and honors courses when available. Also, I am planning on completing a minor in Epidemiology in order to increase the depth of my coursework.

  • Leadership Development: In order to fullfill the goal of leadership development I am planning on taking on more responsibilities in various clubs such as running for an office or helping to plan events.

  • Service Engagement: I will reach the service engagement goal by volunteering at a hospital on campus during the school year and at home during the summer. Also, I am planning on becoming involved with Buck-I-Serve. Additionally, I am taking a course during my sophomore or junior year that involves teaching DNA fingerprinting to students in the surrounding high schools.
