After this first semester at Ohio State, I’ve learned ways to reach my career goals and how to be ready for challenges along my path. These three pictures describe my feelings about the future and reaching my fullest potential and career possibilities. I wish to strive toward what lies ahead, take the steps necessary to reach my goals, and follow the most successful path there. Through a Work Interest Assessment, I found out some of my strengths and discovered that my career of choice was among those selected for those strengths. Knowing that my traits aligned with the career I wish to pursue gave me confidence in my ability to move forwards towards my goal. Vision for Life allowed me to sit down and really focus on what I want to do in the future and picture how I want my life to be. By writing down my main life goals I can see a detailed commitment to myself and strive to stick to it. There may be multiple paths that lead to this goal and through Major Exploration, I discovered another major/minor possibility that would allow me to do what I’d like to while also pertaining to my interests. In the future, I would like to remain flexible and open to the best possible paths to take towards my goal while staying true to my strengths. I hope to use the information I’ve learned throughout the semester in my following years at Ohio State to assist me in reaching my career goals.
