During my junior year of high school, I participated in a child development class where high school students taught preschool students. Each week we created newsletters to tell the parents what their children were learning, and this is one I created for the week before Christmas. I have always loved working with children in any form, so I really enjoyed working with the preschoolers. Through this class, I learned a lot about children, but also a lot about myself. I learned that I do want to work in some way with kids in the future.

Figure Skating Senior Project
For my senior project in high school, I decided to learn a new skill. I have always dreamed of figure skating, so I chose to finally turn those dreams into a reality. I learned time management skills as it was difficult to find time to skate and I developed a whole new level of discipline. I have participated in sports and clubs in high school, but they were always group efforts. Figure skating is an individual sport, which meant everything had to come from me. In addition to discipline and time management skills, I also learned real-life applications of physics as spins and glides heavily depend on momentum, velocity, and force.
