Hi! I’m Jackie Valentas and I am a first year chemical engineering student. At Ohio State, I am a member of the Society of Women in Engineering and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. I played soccer and ran track and field in high school, so I hope to participate in intramurals here at Ohio State. In addition to playing sports, I also enjoy watching sports. My favorite team is the Pittsburgh Penguins. The city of Pittsburgh is south of my home in Cranberry Township, PA. I really like the city of Columbus, but I miss my family, especially my cat, very much. I am the middle child and my older sister attends OSU as well. She really campaigned for me to be a buckeye! I am very glad she did though, because I am so grateful to be here!
