  1. The two goals I want to work most on this year are Global Awareness and Original Inquiry. I want to work on Global Awareness because I think it’s important to be proud of who you are, and who others are. Whether this means to become more cognizant of other cultures or more appreciative of one’s own way of life, I think it’s vital to expand our open-mindedness and understanding of the world. I plan to increase my Global Awareness by joining more cultural clubs, and attending more events organized by the Morrill Scholarship Program. I also want to start writing for The Lantern and can hopefully express my opinions on global topics and current events on that platform. I also want to focus on Original Inquiry. Since I plan on attending medical school, I think it would be both an advantage and necessary skill to be able to perform research. In order to do this, I plan on shadowing doctors this summer, and researching alongside a physician during the autumn 2020 semester. I also plan on traveling abroad for a few weeks, which I think will satiate both of my goals.
